Junior/Intermediate Water Resources Analyst
Reporting to the Manager of Water Resources and Project Managers, the Water Resources Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of servicing and water resources related analyses for Master Plans, land development projects (e.g. subdivisions and site plans) during the draft plan and detailed design stages.
Summary of Duties/Responsibilities
- Prepare Functional Servicing and Stormwater Management Reports.
- Utilize computer modeling software to complete hydrologic/hydraulic analyses, erosion and sediment control studies, floodplain mapping analyses, sanitary sewer capacity analyses, etc.
- Support the Project Manager in meeting client needs and deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other equivalent education.
- Two years relevant experience in Water Resources.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) in the Province of Ontario is an asset.
- Solid understanding of hydrologic and hydraulic principles and theories.
- Working knowledge of various software (e.g. Visual OTTHYMO, HEC-RAS, PCSWMM, InfoWorks, AutoCAD) is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to multi-task and provide deliverables effectively in a fast paced environment.

Civil/Environmental Engineering Student
Reporting to the Project Manager, the Engineering Student will be responsible for assisting in the coordination and delivery of projects, which include high-level calculations and drafting tasks.
Summary of Duties/Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations and apply basic scientific principles under close supervision.
- Collect and prepare data for analysis on a variety of projects.
- Utilize computer modeling software to complete high-level analyses.
- Support the Project Manager in meeting client needs and deadlines.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Working towards a University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience with AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil3D, HEC-RAS, or PCSWMM is an asset.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Words, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

- Prepare grading and servicing plans.
- Coordinate and prepare engineering submissions.
- Provide preliminary and detailed design drawings.
Qualifications
- A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.
- Working towards or registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or Certified Engineering Technologist (C.E.T.) in the Province of Ontario is an asset.
- Two years of experience in drafting and design works on municipal projects.
- Strong working knowledge in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D software.

- Maintain relationships with clients and approval agencies.

- A University Degree or College Diploma in Civil Engineering.

Project Engineer
Reporting to the Department Supervisor, the Project Engineer will be responsible for leading the contract administration and project management tasks related to the construction of land development and municipal infrastructure projects.
Summary of Duties/Responsibilities
- Ensure project compliance with drawings, specifications, and standards.
- Assist with development of tender documentation, cost estimates as required during construction stages.
- Provide project progress updates as per defined cycles.
- Coordinate packages of work with the engineering team and sub-consultants
- Review the engineering and scope costs to complete projects on time and on budget
- Manage project documentation and data, including drawings and specifications.
- Oversee field activities from construction to commissioning.
- Manage resolution of technical and administrative issues with project stakeholders.
- Prepare drafts of project reports for review and issue by project manager.
- Ensure conducting and recording of mandatory inspections and testing.
- Provide witness services when needed.
- Perform site walk-outs as necessary.
- Process progress certificates received from contractors as works progress at site.
Qualifications
- A University Degree in Civil or Municipal Engineering and working towards getting registration as a professional engineer.
- Registration as a Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) in the Province of Ontario.
- Some relevant experience as a Project Engineer.
- Experience working on residential and industrial subdivisions and site plans.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil3D software.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
